Meal Swipes give you access to any of our all-you-care-to-eat dining hall, Towers Café. A Warrior Pass plan comes with unlimited meal swipes, a Weekly plan includes 15 meal swipes per week that reload every Monday morning at breakfast, and a Block plan comes with an allotted amount of meal swipes that expire at the end of each semester. Meal swipes included in Create-Your-Own plans roll over from fall semester to winter semester, but will expire at midnight on the last day of final exams during the winter semester. Meal swipes included in all other plans do not roll over from semester to semester.

Freshmen, First-Year and Upperclass Students living in Towers Residential Suites, Ghafari Hall, Atchison Hall, Chatsworth, and The Thompson Home are required to have a meal plan. Your meal plan is loaded right to your OneCard. Students living in a Residence Hall will select their meal plan when completing the housing application.

Warrior Dollars can be used at all Wayne State University dining locations. Adding Warrior Dollars is a great way to add flexibility and variety to your plan. Warrior Dollars roll over from Fall semester to Winter semester but will expire at midnight on the last day of final exams during the Winter semester.

Guest Meals can be used to treat friends or family to a meal in the dining hall.

Yes – we offer to-go packaging at all our dining locations.

As an on-campus student living in a mandatory meal plan location, you will have the opportunity at the beginning of each semester to change your meal plan if desired. Please find these dates below:

  • Fall Term Meal Plan Change Period: Friday, September 2025 – Friday, September 2025
  • Winter Term Meal Plan Change Period: Friday, January 2026 – Friday, January 2026

Use the Meal Plan Accommodation Request Form located on the Office of Housing & Residential Life website to request an exemption or modification of a required meal plan. Please note that meal plan holders will be required to share documentation supporting the request being made. Requests cannot be considered until documentation is received. Submitting a request form does not guarantee that your request will be approved. Adding on Warrior Dollars is a great way to add flexibility and variety to your plan. You can purchase additional dollars online or at the OneCard office in the Welcome Center.

There are three ways you can check your Meal Swipes and Warrior Dollars balance

  1. On the Wayne State app

  2. Ask the cashier after a purchase at any dining location

  3. Visit the OneCard office in the Welcome Center, or contact at onecard@wayne.edu or 313-577-CARD

No, there is a slight difference. Warrior Dollars can only be used at all on campus dining locations. One Card Dollars can also be used at other on and off campus services in addition to all dining locations.
